Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1541 1541: Cooking An Exotic Meal

-----

As they walked around the caves, Aquarina and her party slayed any of these alien larvae they found, destroying them before they were to become a complete threat.

Through Aquarina's idea, they permeated their bodies with their Auras, managing to easily crush or burn these beings without being touched by their needles that absorb DNA and replicate it.

For someone that didn't knew this, it would be very easy to end up tripping into many of these mushrooms and ending up creating a giant army of clones.

And if their ability to replicate even powers was as powerful as Khepri described, then even the Gods had difficulties dealing with them.

"I think we've killed all of those from the other routes," said Khepri. "For now, we should take a rest before we move forwards, there might be deeper into the caves."

"Can you sense how many are left?" Aquarina asked.

"But kind of, yeah. I can feel it, like I have some life detecting technology within me." said Khepri.

"That's really interesting!" said Silvia. "Ah, anyways, so we're done for now? Let's eat something, I'm so hungry…"

"Sure we should cook something to eat," nodded Aquarina. "Hmm…"

She quickly glanced at the system notifications she had been getting.

"Damn nice, I got ten levels out of this!" Aquarina thought, smiling quite proudly. "Probably the easiest levels I've gotten so far, these things didn't even fight back in their larva stages."

For some reason the Doppelgangers granted great amounts of EXP but were most of the time, stationary beings that propagate slowly and always require hosts to copy their DNA.

As long as they can't copy DNA, they can also be easily crushed and killed, giving a large amount of EXP for what's essentially a strong monster that simply cannot complete its true form.

Well, not exactly monster, more like an "alien" according to Khepri.

"Hm, we got a lot of good salt," said Aquarina. "We should use it on the meat…"

She quickly set up a small camp, and a fire, placing large metal sticks around and creating a makeshift grill. Then with the help of her friends, she took out several chunks of Sky Eels, Feathered Snake Wyvern, and Oasis Wyrm meat, and placed them on large metal sticks.

Using the salt she got, she covered them on a lot of salt, pierced the chunk meat with several needles and placed the salt inside as well, to keep the juices salty as well.

Then, she placed a delicious spicy sauce her mother made which she took a whole bottle of it, covering the meat as it was being roasted.

The smell was irresistible, and the kids began drooling as they saw the meat slowly being roasted, the spices and the salt also created a delicious combination.

"Did you purify the salt, Aquarina?" wondered Silvia. "I kind of forgot to ask you that…"

"I had checked if it was toxic, but it seems the salt from the golems isn't!" Aquarina smiled.

"Wait, really? But how?" wondered Justicio.

"Most likely because the mana inside the golem's cores purify and cleanse the salt, and keep it full of mana, so it's going to be much tastier and have a better flavor to it," Aquarina explained. "Pretty cool right?"

"Yeah, it's really interesting…" nodded Silvia. "I wonder though, could we eat those aliens too? They were very slimy, but I wonder what happens if you boil them."

"That wouldn't be good, they're parasites, their eggs are inside of their bodies, I wouldn't recommend eating them!" said Khepri.

"Come on, let's try it," Aquarina said, without caring about what Khepri said. "They're already dead, we've burned most of them already… This gelatinous texture is kind of like jelly."

"They really remind me of me… It's a bit creepy," said Pyuku, who seemed a bit disgusted and weirded out with the Doppelgangers. "But I guess they got nothing to do with my mind, seeing how they're from outer space and we slimes were designed by the gods…"

"Yeah, just similarities, I've heard there's monsters that are like you slimes, named goos," said Aquarina. "But they're completely different altogether! And are really ugly and creepy, very different. Slimes in the other case, are really adorable."

"You're cute Pyuku, don't compare yourself with those creepy things," said Silvia, as she carried a bucket full of the jelly left behind from the burnt doppelgangers.

"I agree but should you guys really be trying to cook this?!" asked Justicio.

"I got an idea," Aquarina said with a smile. "Let's first pour a lot of sugar into it…"

Aquarina unpacked several ingredients she carried everywhere. First she started with sugar, pouring it all into a boiling bucket of this alien jelly.

Afterwards, Aquarina placed some honey, a bit of mint, and then she brought some berries, crushing them into paste, and pouring it into the jelly.

The boiling liquid became something like caramel, gaining a reddish-purple color.

Once done, Aquarina nodded, placing a lid over the bucket and then releasing cold winds, slowly making the interior cool down.

After a couple of minutes, as the meat was being roasted and Silvia and Justicio steamed potatoes to go with the meat, her experiment was done.

"It worked!"

Aquarina smiled, some of the genius of Sylphy shining within her eyes, the red-haired half-elf princess had influenced a lot of how Aquarina acted, her curiosity and her willingness to experiment with things was born from her influences.

"W-What is that?" Justicio wondered.

"Jelly?" asked Silvia.

"Yep, let's see…"

Aquarina quickly took out a spoon, placing it on the jelly and taking a spoonful.

"Wait, you're going to become full of worms and parasites!" Khepri cried.

"I already analyzed it, there's no living beings in this jelly," said Aquarina. "Nom… Hmm?!"

Suddenly, after eating the jelly, Aquarina groaned in horror, falling to the ground and screaming.

"Uuuoogghhh…!"

"AQUARINA?!"
