Ruby was unable to react in time, the moment of teleportation, the distortion created by the Savage Sun Venerable, and how they were all sent much further away than Drake planned.

And how the Demons that Pandemonium commanded also came along with them, immediately ambushing them even though they were still recovering from being teleported through space.

Ruby, her mother, and Rakasha, who managed to be teleported together due to their close proximity with one another ended being isolated behind this mountain, surrounded by hundreds of furious Demons.

The smaller ones perhaps were manageable, but the three titanic Red Onis were too many, even more with how weakened they were left after trying to fight the Venerable.

It ended becoming a hopeless battle for survival, Ruby ended getting beaten down from every angle, gigantic blows came rushing towards her by the Red Oni, battering her constantly even with her powerful Aura trying to protect her.

Eventually, as she tried to defend herself, her Mother and Rakasha were separated from her by the rest of the demons, who started overwhelming them from every angle.

"No! D-Don't get too far from me!"

Ruby cried as she attempted to get back with them, only for the Red Onis to kick her away with immense force, constantly bullying her and stopping her.

"D-Dammit…! Mom…! Rakasha!"

As she cried angrily and fought more and more…

Eventually.

"Ugh?!"

A blue-skinned demon carrying a giant blacks sword sliced through her mother's stomach the second Rakasha put his eyes away from her.

"M-Mom…!"

And her mother was sliced apart into two by the immense force of the sword, her guts splattering onto the floor as she groaned in agony and pain.

"A-Aaaggh…!"

The other Demons laughed, beginning to stab her body with smaller knives, filling her wounds with deadly demonic energy that started eating away at her flesh.

"NO!"

Rakasha had failed Ruby.

He promised her that he would protect her mother.

He even had started to develop something with that woman.

She was a gentle and good-natured person, despite being a vampire.

Her personality was endearing and grew on him and her daughter as they spend a lot of time together.

"CLARISSIAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

Rakasha grew furious, flames and ice erupting from his body, even though he barely had any energy left from battling a Venerable and getting beaten down so much by him, he pounced into the demons, tearing them apart with his hammer and catching up to Ruby's mother, who was agonizingly dying.

"MOM!!!"

And Ruby, who glanced in the distance, screamed so loudly the entire world around her trembled. The Red Onis felt so much pain in their sharp ears that they started bleeding, groaning and stepping back.

FLASH!

She jumped towards her mother, reaching her a second before Rakasha.

And then she glared at him with utter anger.

Like she had never looked at him before.

"It's your fault… You… you promised…! You promised you would protect her!!!"

"R-Ruby…! No! I-I…! I'm sorry, Ruby!"

Rakasha tried to get to her, but Ruby's eyes turned completely red, as she started crying in blood.

"Mother…"

She looked back at her mother, as she started crying blood in her wounds.

"Ru… Ruby…"

Her mother raised her hand, trying to reach her daughter, to touch her red hair but…

Her hand fell, as the lifeforce of her body started to almost fully dissipate.

"NOOOOOO!!!"

And Ruby screamed a second time.

Her scream carried with it a distorted voice, no longer that of a young girl.

Not even of a woman…

It resembled a phantasmal monstrosity that suddenly awakened her.

Space shattered apart; a sea of blood covered everything!

SPLAAASH!

"W-Wha…?! Ruby!"

The sea of blood washed away all the demons, even the titanic Red Onis, as Rakasha was unable to reach her.

"Cough, cough…! W-What happened?!"

He looked into the distance after he was washed away, slowly walking there…

Only to find a gigantic shadow, a specter of darkness and blood forming from within Ruby's Aura, holding her dying mother with massive, sharp and long claws.

It resembled a gigantic, furious bat, with sharp crimson eyes and long fangs…

"Mother… Mother…! Don't die…! Mother! Mother!"

Ruby kept crying, as countless tendrils of blood entered her mother's dying body, trying to regenerate, fighting back against the infecting demonic energy.

"You bastards…! ALL OF YOU!!!"

Ruby roared, hissing at the demons around her, who had swallowed her blood, suddenly, all of them squirmed in agony.

"Gryyaaaahhh!"

And then blood energy started coming from their bodies, fangs grew on their jaws, and their eyes turned even redder.

"W-What…?!"

Rakasha saw how Ruby turned hundreds of demons into her vampires!

They were originally five hundred, two hundred died instantly.

BOOOM!

Their heads exploded with her will.

"That power…!"

Rakasha realized Ruby had never had such immense power before.

She had… she was evolving.

The two hundred demon corpses melted into pure demonic vampiric blood, which she used to infuse into her mother.

"Adapt, mother… Adapt…! You have… to survive! Don't leave me…! Mother!"

As she cried in agony while doing something terrible, Rakasha screamed at her.

"RUBY! STOP! YOU'RE…! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

However, Ruby glared at him only once.

"DIE."

"A-Ahh…?!"

Rakasha saw her gigantic aura looking down on him like a mere insect.

And its titanic claws rushed towards Rakasha!

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

"Uuuuaaaggghhh!"

Rakasha screamed in utter agony as his entire body was covered on deadly slicing wounds, rotting with deadly cursed miasma, until he was kicked away, hitting the nearby mountain and slowly rolling down.

BAAAM!

"A-Ahhh…! R-Ruby…! I'm sorry…! Cough… Ruby…!"

He tried to get to her, but Ruby didn't look at Rakasha anymore, her powers constantly surging more and more, demonic energy and vampiric powers combining, distorting her.

"Mother…"

Until she turned into a mass of fleshy tentacles, embracing her mother and then creating a massive dome around her.

FLAAASH!

"Ugh?!"

The bright crimson light burned Rakasha's skin, as he was sent flying away, losing consciousness.

Until now, when he was finally found and healed.

Only for him to see what Ruby had become in her endless sorrow.

"GROOOAAAARRRR!"

An unrecognizable monster.
